Armstrong Acoustic Guitar Reviews 5

Wanted a replacement for 1 1956 Epiphone Texan that was nicked. Rob Armstrong, one of England's finest guitar makers offered to build something better. I was unconvinced. A couple of years later I returned having played several of his guitars. No models and no model numbers. Every guitar is unique and astonishing. We sat, talked, planned, exchanged views. I listened, played more, asked about wood, construction, sound, preferences. Rob Armstrong is a mine of knowledge - you just get out what you seek. He was absolutely brilliant. Came up with a great guitar for about £800. I play at clubs etc. and it rings, sings and casts light upon some fine tunes.

It has real volume and at the same time subtleties that defy language.

It's got a mark on the soundboard where a mic fell against it.

Light weight construction - hence the sound. The body is rose wood and tola with spruce top. It's beautiful to look at although unusual.

I no longer miss the Texan. Thanks Rob
